The University “Roma Tre” offers a Ph.D. program to provide a three years long highly specialized research training opportunity to graduates in various branches of Biology. The program is organized in the bio-molecular, physio-pathological and ecological areas.
The multidisciplinary bio-molecular aerea arises from the interaction of biologists with physicians, chemists, mathematicians and physicists and is devoted to the study of the structure-function relationships in biomolecules.
The physio-pathological area research deals with processes related to genetics of cell cycle control, physiology, host-parasite interactions, differentiation and proliferation in living organisms.
The ecological research on the structure, origin, dynamics and distribution of animal and plant communities provides tools for the environmental monitoring and impact assessment, conservation of biodiversity and wildlife management.
